State Government Commences Oracle Training for Akwa Ibom Youths

Following a recent announcement by the Akwa Ibom state Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, of the  government sponsored training of 1000 youths of the State on Oracle Software Management, the Ministry of Science and Technology is set to 

conduct screening and documentation for all applicants from Monday August 3 - Wednesday 5, 2015.

In a statement issued by The State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr Elizabeth Obot , the youths who applied for the training are expected to assemble at the State Ministry for Science and Technology at 84 Obio Imo Street for the screening exercise. She however explained that the screening exercise is scheduled for youths from Eket senatorial district on Monday, Ikot Ekpene senatorial district on Tuesday and Uyo on Wednesday and requested the youths to come along with original copies of their credentials, certificates of origin and to own a functional email address for contact.

The Commissioner further stressed the importance of the training, pointing out that the  initiative is part of the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel’s pledge , towards human capacity empowerment. Listing benefits of Oracle Trainings to include the upgrade in ICT professionalism, equipping database managers and grooming businessmen to compete favorably in an increasingly IT-dominated economy. She emphasized that ORACLE certifications increase the prospects of being employed, the world over going by the fact that ORACLE as a company is one of the largest software firms situated in California. It has millions of global customers, including some of the biggest Fortune 500 companies.

Therefore, an employee who avails oracle training has immense career opportunities. Also Advanced computer systems generally make utilization of databases to store information.

Despite the fact that other database administration systems are utilized generally as a part of distinctive organizations yet the greater part of them are partial to Oracle.
