PRESS RELEASE
Following the dissolution of Local Government Councils by the State House of Assembly, on Thursday 9th July 2015, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Mr. Udom Emmanuel has directed Heads of Local Government Service in the 31 Area Councils of the State, to take charge of administration of the Local Government Councils pending the constitution of a Transition Committee to oversee the affairs of the Councils.
This directive takes effect from Friday 10th July, 2015.
