Akpanusoh Organizes Constituency Briefing in EsitEket /Ibeno; Seeks LG Autonomy

Usoro Akpanusoh apart from supporting bills and debate in the hallowed chamber of the House has organized a constituency briefing for the people of his constituency in line with his campaign promises to the people.
In less than two months since he was elected by the people of Esit Eket /Ibeno state constituency to represent them in the state House of Assembly, Mr.



Fielding questions from newsmen in his office shortly after the plenary, Hon. Akpanusoh said the event was organized in his village to sought the pulse of the people in his constituency and also find out measures that will help cushion the plight of the people as were deeply affected by the recent flood that ravage part of his constituency.

He said his constituency also at the town-hall meeting, commended the state Executive officer, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for ordering contractors handling Etinan - Eket - Ibono road project back to site and for also constituting a committee to look into the Ibaka deep Seaport a major economy base of the state.

Akpanusoh , who is one of the vocal lawmakers in the state Assembly thanked his constituency for giving him the privilege to serve them in the state Assembly. He solicited support for the governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Aniekan Uko and the leadership of PDP in the state.

On Local Government Administration. the lawmaker said for government to get to the grassroots, the Federal, State Government must allow the third tier of Government which is the Local Government, their necessary privileges granted it by the law. He however blamed the 5th Assembly for opposing bill on Local Government Autonomy, saying that such position was not for the interest of the people.
