- Appoints Former Director General of NIMASA as Chairman
The Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel has approved the constitution of a 10-member technical committee on the realization of Ibom Deep Seaport with Barr. Mrs MFON USORO, a one time director general of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) as chairman,
Other members are:

Mr. Idongesit Udofa
Engr. Ekong Umo-otong
Rear Admiral Francis Akpan
Barr. Aniekan Ukpanah
Mr. Charles Udonwah
Mrs Akon Eyakenyi
Engr Etido Inyang
Terms of Reference:
(A) To work on different phases of the project and to ensure it is delivered on time.
(B) The committee will report directly to the Executive Governor.
The Governor congratulates the members on their appointments and expects them to bring to bear their various technical layers of competence in the discharge of their responsibilities.
