Nsit Atai local government area is currently under serious political
treat as Youths, Elders and some women groups are protesting the just
constituted Transition Committees in the area.
Our reporter who was at Okoro Nsit, Nsit Atai local government on Tuesday morning , reports that the people of the area have threatened to go diabolic (their fathers's root) if government fails to come to their rescue.
They vehemently rejects the composition of the committee in Nsit Atai, saying that the list was one sided.
Addressing newsmen at the "Asan Ibedu" (town hall), the group head of Ibedu, Obong Okono Udoudo Okono said their anger and protest was as a result of exclusion of "Ibedu" in the Transition government as constitute by Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanue.
The group head who noted the political marginalization in the area, said it is the turn of "Ibedu" to produce the next Council chairman as other two political blocks (Afaha and Ibia ikot) have taken their turn
Chief Bright Johnny of Ikot Esen Nsit and Blessing Okon women leader of ward eight (PDP) who spoke separately to newsmen at the Ibedu Town hall solicited amendment of the list to accommodate Ibedu people, which they said were highly marginalized.
