The Fake Press Release on the Appointment of Key Media Aides to the Akwa Ibom State Governor.

The said press release was purportedly signed by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ekerete Udoh and had been spread round the social media through out this week.

GOVERNOR UDOM EMMANUEL APPOINTS KEY MEDIA AIDES
The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has approved the appointment of 9 media aides to work in his government.

They are Sampson Akpan, Samuel Joshua, Joseph Okon, Aniekeme Finbarr, Emmanuel Nicholas, Eric Ekwere, Uwemedimo Umanah, Aniefiok Macauley, and Essien Ndueso.

Sampson Akpan, a broadcaster and the producer of radio program, ‘Politics Today’ is to serve as Special Assistant to the Governor on Media (Electronics), while Joseph Okon, who was until his appointment the Publisher of The Anchor Express will serve as Personal Assistant to the Governor on Local Media.

Aniekeme Finbarr has been appointed Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs while Samuel Joshua, a newspaper publisher and TV presenter is now the Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Media.

Emmanuel Nicholas, a media consultant has been appointed Special Assistant to the Governor on Media/Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor.

Eric Ekwere is now the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Media and Documentation while Aniefiok Macauley is to serve as the Special Assistant to the Governor on Print Media.

Essien Ndueso, a graduate of Communication Arts is now the Special Assistant to the Governor on Press Affairs. He served the immediate Past Governor of the state as Personal Assistant on Media.

Uwemedimo Umanah, a Peace Researcher, Newspaper Publisher, and Public Affairs Analyst will serve as Special Assistant on New Media.
The governor, who congratulated the new appointees, urged them to be dedicated and be ready to serve the state selflessly.

All the appointments are with immediate effect.
